Huntsville, Alabama is continuously growing in a variety of ways. One of the ways that we have noticed recently is by the numerous different up and coming fitness studios we have throughout the city, which we think is absolutely amazing! You really can’t beat promoting health and fitness in today’s society. Exercise not only promotes health and wellness in your body, but it is such a great way to help clear your mind and boost endorphins, because we all know “Endorphins make you happy!” We just wanted to share some of the different places around town that you can venture out to and get in the workout you need.
One of the newest places on our list, which is not even open yet, is Orange Theory Fitness. Orange Theory will be located in The Shops at Merchants Walk, which is under construction on the corner of Bob Wallace and Memorial Parkway. It is a quick 60-minute workout that combines cardiovascular with strength training. One of the neat things about Orange Theory is you wear a heart rate monitor that tracks your intensity and gets you in the perfect zone for the best metabolic burn, hints the “Orange Effect.”
Looking for something different from your every day gym routine? Pure Barre is a 55-minute class that focuses on using small movements to make a huge change in your body. As long as you can hold a ballet barre, you can do Pure Barre. The great thing about Pure Barre, is that every class you take is different. They have different instructors, upbeat music, and different moves in each class. Definitely not a workout you will be bored with! They also have 2 locations in town, one in Madison and one in Huntsville, and you’re membership allows you to use both. So no matter where you live or work in the town, there’s no excuse not to try it out.
The last fitness place we want to share with you is one that not only works out your body, but also your mind. Bikram Hot Yoga is currently located on Madison Boulevard, with their second location opening up next to Orange Theory in The Shops at Merchants Walk. Bikram is an hour and half yoga class done in temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If you’re anything like me, just sitting in a room that hot is a workout in itself! Just a few of the benefits of taking Bikram are that it reshapes your body, restores flexibility, improves circulation, and even relieves stress. If that heat is to much for you, they also have warm gentle yoga classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30.
We encourage you to find which one of these workouts is the best for you. There are tons of other amazing studios in town as well including, Iron Tribe Fitness, Crossfit Huntsville, YMCA, Sweat Fitness, Evo Fitness, and many more. We have listed a few links below for you to check out.
Hopefully we will see you at one of these locations soon!
